About Me

Jonathan Allen

Me.

I grew up in Ohio and my main thing was playing baseball when I was in grade school. When I was eleven-years-old I began hitting golf balls with a pitching wedge (A Walter Hagen Ultradyne Black Button model.) in the front yard using a wedge. My Dad noticed my interest in golf, so he got me a starter’s set of golf clubs. Man, was I was thrilled to have a set of golf clubs for my own. This starter’s set was made up of a driver, 3 wood, the 3, 5, 7, and 9 irons, and a weird J. C. Goosie putter. I couldn’t get my tee shots with the driver into the air, I could hit the 3 wood off a tee, but I topped all my shots hit off the ground. The 3 and 5 irons never came out of the bag because they were impossible for me. I got by with the 7 and 9 irons for all the shots after the 3 wood tee shot. I loved that first set of golf clubs. My father always encouraged me to practice and play and he often took me out to play nine holes at the nearest public golf course. My father and I had an immense amount of fun playing golf together. I had found a life-long passion, the game of golf.

I grew older, taller, and stronger, and continued my passion for golf. Golf has provided me with great enjoyment and satisfaction as I have continued to practice, play, and improve the best I possibly can. I have also enjoyed learning everything I can about the great game of golf.
